At Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen we fight hunger in the California Bay Area by providing food security to those who need it most.

Our guests would like to thank you, our donors, volunteers and supporters, for helping to provide nutritious meals to our hungriest neighbors. Thank you for all you do.

Here in the Bay Area, we are fortunate to have access to nutritious food year-round. But as you undoubtedly know, the economic success of this region is making it more and more difficult for low-income families to keep up with basic expenses – including buying and preparing healthy meals that many of us take for granted.

Since 1980, Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen has been serving free, nutritious hot meals to low-income families and individuals. In the past year, Loaves & Fishes embraced a “delivery/catering” model by centralizing our meal preparation from four kitchens into one commissary kitchen, and acquiring new warehouse and office space that allowed us to consolidate our administrative, food storage, and operation activities (except for cooking) into a single facility. We are now serving over half a million meals per year to over 30 locations across the Bay Area.

We have many opportunities for continued growth including requests from three more churches, a woman’s shelter, a low-income children’s education nonprofit and a homeless shelter. We so very much appreciate our community’s support in helping to feed our hungriest neighbors.
