Loaves & Fishes called on by Mayor's office to assist displaced residents in San Jose Apt. Fire

A high rise tower apartment fire in San Jose left 45 residents displaced from their home and taking shelter at Burnett middle school.

In a coordinated effort between Red Cross and the Mayor's office, they called Second Harvest Food Bank for help to provide the residents with food while at the temporary shelter. SHFB said that Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen was the best fit to respond to emergency prepared meals and to call Associate Director, Emilio Gonzales.

The Mayor's office called Emilio and Loaves & Fishes is happily providing two meals a day to the residents.
